Hello All who may or may not read this message. I'm here to post reviews of books within the Paranormal and Fantasy genres of writing (but if I do read an amazing or horrible thriller, horror or murder mystery, I will likely post something about it too, sorry I cannot just read one genre). It is my intention to spread the word about books that you may or may not have heard of before, and give my honest opinion about that book. I strictly want to keep this as a review site only (for now). I have seen other sites that do a lot of interviews with authors and I am not opposed to that, I just feel that when I go to other individuals websites, I find that these interviews have taken up the space where there used to be reviews on books. Some of you may have seen some of these reviews before (I do have a backlog, lol) as I have posted many reviews on Chapter Community and I was posted on a different website, however, they never posted everything I sent.... So bare with me as I figure this whole blogging thing out.
So Here we go I guess...My first Blog ever....(I wonder if anyone will even read this)

Hi J-9!
ReplyDeleteI love your honesty in this post and I truly think that this is what captivates readers and followers!
Reviewing books is a great way to get people to widen their literary horizons. I haven't read a good Paranormal of Fantasy book in a long while, but I think I might start again!
Any suggestions?
I have lots that I could suggest. When was the last time you have read a paranormal novel? Do you have a preference for the characters it is centered around, ex: werewolves, vampires, angels ect? Let me know, I'm sure I will be able to set you in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteCheers
I used to be really into vampires but, believe it or not, I have yet to read Twilight!!!
ReplyDeleteI love paranormal stuff, but the last book I read probably dates back to Stoker's Dracula (ages ago!)
I haven't kept up with anything, so I guess I could easily throw myself into vampires again, or spirits/ghosts classics. I used to be a big fan of Edgar Allan Poe, but for obvious reasons, he hasn't written anything new ;-)
I'd love some pointers! Thanks
Cheers
Ok, So i've done something, lol. I really dont think anything today will meet Poe standards but there are some good reads out there,
ReplyDeleteSeries and Books I have really enjoyed:
Kelley Armstrong: Bitten (First Book)
Ilona Andrews: Magic Bites (First Book)
Kim Harrison: Dead Witch Walking (First Book)
Mira Grant: Feed
Donna Boyd: The Passion
Laurell K Hamilton: Guilty Pleasure(First book, but only read the first 8 in this series, it goes down hill after that)
Diana Rowland: Mark of a Demon (First Book)
Alice Borchardt: Sliver Wolf (First Book)
Lilth Saintcrow: Working for the Devil (First Book)
Vicki Pettersson: The Scent of Shadows (First Book)
Also the books that I have given good reviews (that i did not list here) are good reads. I guess it just depends on what you are looking for. Let me know if you need more information about any of those I've listed or more suggestions of books to read
Cheers!!!
